In an impressive feat, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has surpassed two million sales within just days of its official release. The game, developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment, reached this milestone after the launch of its Standard Edition on September 9, 2024.

Players who had purchased the premium edition enjoyed early access, contributing to the game’s explosive start. This launch has made Space Marine 2 the most successful title in the Warhammer universe on Steam, surpassing an all-time peak of 225,690 concurrent players.

Set in the grimdark universe of Warhammer 40,000, Space Marine 2 places players in the boots of Lieutenant Titus, a battle-hardened Ultramarine, as he fights off the Tyranid horde and Chaos forces. The game offers an engaging single-player campaign, co-op multiplayer, and PvP modes, blending third-person shooting with the series’ signature hack-and-slash combat​.

To celebrate the achievement, actor Clive Standen, who voices Titus, expressed his gratitude to the community for their overwhelming support. Focus Entertainment also hinted at future updates, including additional content, as well as support for DLSS 3, FSR 3, and ultra-wide monitors on PC.
