GTA 6 is officially slated to release in 2025 with a console release happening first, then the PC release sometime after that. There have been rumours about GTA 6 getting delayed but an exclusive leak from @billsyliamgta (X) makes it more credible.
According to the leaker, the information comes from multiple developers from two studios. The leak says that Rockstar Games has internally delayed the game to early to mid-2026. Moreover, the leak also suggests that the PC release will be around 12-18 months after the console release.
Given the upcoming launch of PlayStation 5 Pro, developers must be aiming for a big PS5 Pro release. The PC launch news is quite disappointing as it is a year and a half, which can push the PC release well beyond 2027.
Apart from this, we also have some rumors regarding some of the gameplay features and the protagonists.

GTA 6 Gameplay Features Rumors
Shared by @Pirat_Nation on X, the leaks suggest that the protagonist Jason will be 6’1″ and an expert at theft, brawling, and driving. The second protagonist Lucia is 5’3″ and is an expert in hacking.
The weight changes are back to the game and the characters will apparently sweat a lot. There will be a lot of new tools like immobilizers, jamming devices to steal cars, and stun police scanners.
Cops play an important role in GTA games and according to the rumors, the cops will be able to set up traps in the open world and the wanted level system will be a lot similar in RDR. Cops might know your car and face and NPCs can snitch on you.
