With the highly anticipated premiere of the Suicide Squad ISEKAI anime just around the corner, Warner Bros. Japan Anime has given fans a sneak peek by releasing the series’ opening animation.

This preview comes alongside the exciting announcement of four additional characters who will join the ARGUS ranks.

The opening theme, titled “Another World,” is performed by the renowned Tomoyasu Hotei. The opening animation has been crafted by Takuji Miyamoto, who handled direction, storyboarding, and animation direction. Miyamoto is celebrated for his work on the JUJUTSU KAISEN Phantom Parade animated game opening during his tenure at MAPPA.

The anime is set to make its broadcast debut in Japan on July 5, but international fans won’t have to wait that long. The first three episodes will be available for streaming in the United States on Max and Hulu starting June 27, 2024.

Adding to the excitement, four new characters have been introduced to the cast:

1. Ratcatcher, voiced by Yoji Ueda, known for his role as Eisen in Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.

2. Thinker, voiced by Hochu Otsuka, famous for portraying Jiraiya in Naruto.

3. Enchantress, voiced by Shizuka Ito, recognized for her role as Minako Aino/Sailor Venus in Sailor Moon Crystal.

4. Killer Croc, voiced by Taro Kiuchi, known for playing Dante in The Case Study of Vanitas.

Suicide Squad ISEKAI is helmed by director Eri Osada at WIT Studio, featuring original character designs by Akira Amano of PSYCHO-PASS fame.

The series’ scripts are penned by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara, the talented writing team behind Vivy -Fluorite Eye’s Song. Character designs have been adapted for animation by Naoto Hosoda, with a musical score composed by Kenichiro Suehiro.

The anime will kick off with three episodes available for streaming on June 27, with subsequent episodes released weekly, totaling ten episodes.
