Warner Bros. Japan has announced the highly anticipated premiere date for the new original anime, Suicide Squad ISEKAI, created in collaboration with Wit Studio. The series will debut on July 5th at 24:30 (or July 6th at 12:30 a.m.) on Tokyo MX and BS11.

It will also be available on various streaming platforms in Japan, including ABEMA, U-NEXT, and Anime Hōdai.

Set in the crime-ridden streets of Gotham, Amanda Waller, head of A.R.G.U.S., assembles a team of notorious criminals for a high-stakes mission. Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Peacemaker, Clayface, and King Shark are transported to an otherworldly realm—a world of swords and magic teeming with orcs and dragons.

Captured by the kingdom’s soldiers and facing a ticking time bomb around their necks, they have only 72 hours to negotiate with Queen Aldora and conquer the hostile Imperial army. Failure is not an option as they navigate this perilous isekai world.

Creative Powerhouses

The anime is directed by Eri Osada (known for work on Jujutsu Kaisen and Gintama) with scripts written by Tappei Nagatsuki and Eiji Umehara. Akira Amano, the manga artist behind Reborn! and ēlDLIVE, is crafting the original character designs, while Naoto Hosoda adapts these designs for animation. The music composition is by Kenichiro Suehiro.
