Tsukasa Tanimai’s light novel series TEOGONIA is getting a TV Anime Adaptation .

Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures has just announced that Tsukasa Tanimai’s captivating light novel series, Teogonia, is set to receive its own television anime adaptation.

The Teogonia series delves into a world torn apart by warfare, where human and demi-human tribes clash in relentless battles. Among them are the Ash Monkeys and pig people known as Ogres, who pose a constant threat to human territories.

At the heart of this tumultuous world is Kai, a young boy hailing from the village of Rag. Kai’s days are consumed by the struggle to protect his home from the encroaching threats. But as he witnesses the fall of his comrades and confronts the formidable “guardian bearers” who wield immense power, Kai’s life takes an unexpected turn.

Suddenly, Kai begins to remember memories that don’t belong to him – memories of a technologically advanced world and knowledge beyond his own reality. Despite his humble origins, Kai finds himself thrust into a series of trials and challenges that will test his strength and resilience.

Teogonia promises viewers a spellbinding journey through a harsh and unforgiving world, chronicling the growth and struggles of a single boy amidst chaos and adversity.

Originally published as a web novel on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” platform in August 2017, Teogonia has captivated readers with its rich storytelling and vivid imagination. With illustrations by Kōichirō Kawano, the series has been serialized in book form under the Pash! Books label by Shufu to Seikatsu Sha, with the latest volume released in June 2019. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Shunsuke Aoyama has been thrilling audiences since its debut on the Pash Up! website in 2018.

J-Novel Club is releasing the light novels in English.
