Behind the Scenes

“Terminator Zero” boasts a strong creative team led by Mattson Tomlin, known for his work on “Project Power” and “The Batman II“. Tomlin serves as the series’ showrunner, executive producer, and writer.

He is joined by Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger as executive producers. The series is directed by Masashi Kudo at Production I.G.

A New Chapter in the Terminator Universe

While the series is rooted in the Terminator universe, it introduces new characters and storylines. Set across two timelines—2022 and 1997—the narrative explores the relentless war between humans and machines.

In 1997, Skynet gains self-awareness and begins its assault on humanity. From the future, a soldier is sent back to 1997 to alter humanity’s fate. Her mission: protect scientist Malcolm Lee, who is developing a new AI system to rival Skynet.

As Malcolm grapples with the ethical implications of his creation, he and his children become targets of a relentless future assassin.
