Krafton, the publisher behind the globally popular game PUBG, has signed a deal with Pocketpair, the developers of Palworld, to bring the hit monster-taming game to mobile platforms.
According to the announcement, Krafton’s PUBG Studios will handle the mobile adaptation, aiming to faithfully reinterpret Palworld’s core elements for the mobile gaming audience. This move aligns with Krafton’s history of successful mobile ports, notably PUBG Mobile.
Palworld has gained widespread attention since its release on PC and Xbox, attracting over 25 million players and ranking among the top games on Steam. Despite its success, the game has faced legal challenges from Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, who have filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair for alleged patent infringement, due to similarities between Palworld and the Pokémon franchise.

This controversy has not slowed Palworld’s expansion. The game recently launched on PlayStation 5 and is set to continue its growth with the upcoming mobile version, aiming to reach an even larger global audience.
The development team’s focus will be on adapting the unique gameplay, which involves capturing and battling with creatures (some armed with guns), to the mobile experience, while maintaining the game’s original charm and features.
