Update: Finn Jones clarifies that the comic book was given by a fan at a Comic Con event.

Finn Jones, star of the Netflix series “Iron Fist”, sparked rumors of a potential MCU return with a recent social media post. Jones portrayed Danny Rand (Iron Fist), a martial arts master, in the series which ran for two seasons.

He also starred in “The Defenders” crossover and made a brief appearance in “Luke Cage”. Despite “Iron Fist” receiving negative reviews upon its release, the Netflix Marvel properties are now part of Disney+, leading to speculation about possible MCU cameos for their stars.

A recent Instagram Story from Finn Jones has fans buzzing. The actor subtly featured an Iron Fist comic book prominently placed within his travel bag. Interestingly, the comic is Power Man and Iron Fist #125, the final issue of the series (which also stars Luke Cage). Is this a coincidence, or could Jones be hinting at a return to the role?

Can Finn Jones come back to the MCU?

Since Charlie Cox(Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio(Kingpin), and possibly John Berthnal (Punisher) are back in the MCU officially, it wouldn’t be too surprising to see Finn Jones back.

While the first season was not good, the second season was much better and it was set up for an interesting third season. Moreover, MCU has set a perfect plot to get Iron Fist in.

Shang-Chi has somewhat introduced the 7 heavenly cities with Ta Lo and this can be a great entry point to introduce Iron Fist in the Shang-Chi 2.

A recent report from DanielRPK suggests that the Shang-Chi sequel might feature time travel and Iron Fist, fans shouldn’t anticipate Finn Jones reprising the role.

According to insider information, the Iron Fist appearing in the sequel will be the same one introduced in the upcoming animated series, “Eyes of Wakanda.”

I believe, with some changes, Finn Jones can be a good Iron Fist. It would be great to have a martial arts MCU film with a more grounded premise.
