Director Shawn Levy expresses interest in a Spider-Man and Deadpool crossover, teasing fans with exciting future MCU possibilities.

In an exclusive interview with Total Film, director Shawn Levy revealed his enthusiasm for a potential crossover between Spider-Man and Deadpool in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film.

Levy, who is at the helm of the upcoming “Deadpool & Wolverine,” expressed his excitement about the dynamic that could be brought to the screen by pairing Tom Holland’s Peter Parker with Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson.

The thing about Deadpool is I think he makes everything more interesting because of his audacity. But, boy, I’d sure love to see Deadpool and Spidey. That’s a movie I’d love to make. I feel like Tom Holland would run circles around everyone else.

Levy’s comments come as anticipation builds for “Deadpool & Wolverine,” which marks the official introduction of both characters into the MCU. The film, set to release on July 25 in the UK and July 26 in the US, promises a plethora of MCU cameos and Easter eggs, though the studio has kept plot details under wraps.

What is known is that the film will see Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) working to save the Sacred Timeline with the help of Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). Together, they will confront the villainous Cassandra Nova, played by Emma Corrin.

Producer Wendy Jacobson also shared her thoughts on potential future matchups, expressing a desire to see Deadpool go up against She-Hulk villain Titania. “She’s such a heightened, hilarious character and also an actor who can improv and is razor-sharp and can banter,” Jacobson said.

“I can’t imagine being an actor, period, but I can’t imagine having to work opposite someone like Ryan Reynolds, who is just so quick and so smart and so funny all the time – but that woman could handle it.”
