The trailers showcase the film’s theme song, “Omoide wo Kakenukete” (Running through the Memories), performed by the three-piece Japanese rock band, My Hair is Bad.
This is the band’s first foray into anime theme songs since their formation in 2008 and they have expressed their excitement and honor to be part of a series they have loved since childhood.
Tomomi Shiiki, the band’s vocalist and guitarist, shared heartfelt sentiments about the song. “I am really, really honored to be involved with Crayon Shin-chan, which I have loved since I was little, If you are alive, you will of course have happy and joyful memories, but you will also have sad and painful memories. We created this song with the hope that these memories will become good memories that will give us strength to look forward to the future, like ‘I was sad, but thanks to that,’ or ‘I was painful, but I overcame that.’ We would be happy if this song could help this film in any way so that we can cherish the memories of Shinnosuke, Shiro and the others’ one summer and the strength to look forward forever. May you always be able to look forward to the future. We hope you to enjoy ‘Eiga: Crayon Shin-chan: Oratachi no Kyoryu Nikki’!“
