Call of Duty Black Ops 6 teaser out along with cryptic website trailer

The first Call of Duty Black Ops 6 teaser is out with a cryptic website and intriguing video trailer.

The first teaser for the highly anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been unveiled, igniting excitement among fans of the popular franchise.

Discovered by Charlie Intel, a website titled “The Truth Lies” appears to confirm the long-standing rumours about the next instalment in the Black Ops series.

The website features a video showing climbers scaling Mount Rushmore to drape bandanas over the presidents’ faces, emblazoned with the phrase “The Truth Lies.”

One of these bandanas prominently displays the Black Ops logo, previously hinted at during Microsoft’s announcement for an upcoming mystery event in June.

Known for its intricate storylines and conspiracy-laden narratives, the Black Ops series seems to be returning to its roots with this latest instalment.

The website (www.thetruthlies.com) shows a retro TV with 6 channels showing different footage. However, only 3 channels have some footage and 3 channels show nothing.

Setting and Storyline Rumors

While the teaser leaves much to the imagination, rumors suggest that Black Ops 6 will partially take place during the Gulf War. Historically, Call of Duty games have spanned various locations and time periods, so the Gulf War may be just one of the many elements in the game’s storyline.

Returning Characters and Real-Life Figures

Fans of the series will be pleased to hear that Adler is rumoured to return. The Black Ops franchise is known for its blend of fictional characters and real-life personalities, including appearances by historical figures such as Ronald Reagan in Black Ops Cold War and Robert McNamara in the original Black Ops.

Speculation is rife that Black Ops 6 will feature prominent military and political leaders from the Gulf War era.

Integration with Xbox Game Pass

In a significant move, Microsoft plans to include the upcoming Call of Duty title in its Xbox Game Pass subscription. This follows Microsoft’s monumental $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard in late 2023, bringing the Call of Duty franchise under its expansive umbrella.

Sarah Bond, during an interview with Bloomberg, confirmed that all first-party games owned by Microsoft, including Call of Duty, will debut on Game Pass. This integration is expected to be officially announced at Microsoft’s Xbox showcase on June 9th.

Stay tuned for more details as we get more details and hopefully a trailer soon!
