The latest season of the popular anime My Hero Academia now has a powerful new ending theme song: “Tsubomi” (meaning Bud) by the Japanese rock band Omoinotake. The official music video for “Tsubomi” premiered on the band’s YouTube channel on May 18 which is now the ending theme for the seventh season of the My Hero Academia.
This exciting news follows the earlier announcement of Omoinotake taking the reins for the ending theme. The band is a familiar face – or rather, voice – in the anime world, having previously soundtracked shows like “Twittering Birds Never Fly – The Clouds Gather”, “Blue Period“, and “Horimiya: The Missing Pieces”.
The creditless version of the music video is now available.
The music video for “Tsubomi” was directed by Takuro Okubo, who also directed Omoinotake’s previous single “Ikuoku-kounen” (Several hundred million light-years). “Tsubomi” was first released digitally on May 5, and fans can look forward to its CD single release in Japan on June 12.
