DigitalMind and Phoenixx Inc.’s popular video game, Nyaaaanvy, is making its way to the small screen. Yes, you read that right! Nyaaaanvy is getting its very own television anime series.

The Nyaaaanvy anime is set to air as a series of shorts on TV Tokyo’s “eeny meeny miney mo” program. The show will consist of 6 episodes and the first episode will premiere on Saturday, May 25, at 7:00 a.m. The episodes will also be available on Shinei Animation’s YouTube channel starting on May 31.

For those unfamiliar with Nyaaaanvy, the game features a mysterious creature named Nyanvy, who might or might not be a cat. It is a physics Sumo-Wrestling game where these cat like creatures fight for dominance with their butts.

Players must help Nyanvy survive a big battle without falling off the stage to become the ultimate “Cat of Cats.” Initially available on Steam in Early Access since April 2022, it officially launched on Steam and Nintendo Switch on February 22, 2024.

The anime will feature some fantastic voice talent, including:

• Natsuki Hanae as the Narrator
• Junko Takeuchi as Nora
• Shiori Izawa as Eva
• Noriaki Sugiyama as Penguin
• Yoshino Nanjō as Neko / Ready Go

The anime is being produced by Lesprit and animated by Shinei Animation. Novelist Sei Yoshitsuki is penning the script, while Kyō Yatate is directing the series
