The X-Men are coming to the MCU soon and we are getting the first reports about prospective castings for the mutants. As per the latest reports and scoops, Sadie Sink, renowned for her portrayal of Max in Stranger Things, is a leading candidate to play Jean Grey in Marvel Studios’ anticipated X-Men reboot.
This rumor originates from industry insider Jeff Sneider, who shared in his newsletter that Sink is being eyed for the iconic role. Sneider notes that with Stranger Things concluding its run, Sink’s availability aligns with Marvel’s plans to introduce a new iteration of the X-Men.
Certain reports also suggest that Jean Grey will make her first appearance in the Avengers: Secret Wars. This can be a likely movie to introduce certain mutants and the MCU will reboot post Secret Wars storyline.

Jean Grey, a central figure in X-Men lore, has been previously portrayed by Famke Janssen in the original film series and Sophie Turner in later adaptations. Sink’s potential casting suggests Marvel’s intent to infuse fresh talent into the franchise as it integrates mutants into the MCU.
While Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed these developments, the prospect of Sink joining the MCU has generated significant excitement among fans. Even though it is not officially confirmed, I don’t see any actor better suited to play a younger version of Jean Grey in the MCU than Sadie Sink.
For those eager to revisit Jean Grey’s cinematic journey, previous X-Men films are available to stream on various platforms. Additionally, the animated series ‘X-Men ’97’ is accessible on Disney+, offering a nostalgic exploration of the character’s rich history.
As this story unfolds, audiences await official announcements regarding the future of the X-Men within the MCU and the actors who will bring these beloved characters to life.
