Blizzard reveals Overwatch 2 Transformers skins, featuring Optimus Prime, Megatron, Arcee, and Bumblebee, available until July 22.

Blizzard has officially unveiled the in-game looks of the new Transformers skins for Overwatch 2, marking the game’s most exciting crossover yet. Following the trend of live-service games, Overwatch 2 has previously featured crossovers with One-Punch Man, Cowboy Bebop, and Porsche. This time, four iconic Transformers characters have been transformed into skins for Overwatch 2 heroes.

The new skins include Optimus Prime Reinhardt, Megatron Ramattra, Arcee Illari, and Bumblebee Bastion. The detailed designs aim to recreate the essence of the Transformers characters while preserving the unique silhouettes of the Overwatch heroes. Blizzard released an animated trailer that harkens back to Transformers’ roots as a Saturday morning cartoon, showcasing these new skins.

Blizzard artist Bobby Kim discussed the creative process behind the Optimus Prime Reinhardt skin, highlighting the integration of truck-like elements such as the front windshield and exhausts, enhancing Reinhardt’s charging appearance. Similarly, Ramattra’s Megatron skin reflects the character’s complex blend of peace and conflict, aligning with Megatron’s own narrative.

Players can purchase these skins individually or as part of a Mega Bundle. Free rewards, including Transformers-themed player icons, name cards, and titles, will also be available during the event, which runs until July 22. Pricing details will be revealed when the event goes live today.
