Saber Interactive has announced the cancellation of the planned multiplayer beta for “Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2” to concentrate on optimizing the final product for its launch in September 2024. The decision revealed on June 28, 2024, aims to ensure a polished and bug-free experience upon release.
Originally announced in 2021 and delayed in 2023, “Space Marine 2” is a highly anticipated third-person shooter. Fans have been eager for a beta since it was teased in August 2023, but Saber Interactive opted to forgo the beta to focus resources on finalizing the game.

“We know this is disappointing news for some of you,” said Saber Interactive in a Steam post on Friday. “As a thank you to those interested in participating, players who registered via the online signup before June 28, 2024, midnight Paris Time, will receive the limited Bolt Pistol skin.”

Despite some fans expressing disappointment and concerns about transparency, the development team reassured that those who registered for the beta will receive a limited Bolt Pistol skin as a token of appreciation.
Space Marine 2 will be released on 9 September 2024. It will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
