Here is every games announced and showcased at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024. From Doom: The Dark Ages to Call of Duty Black Ops 6.


Xbox Games Showcase is a yearly presentation from Microsoft/Xbox showcasing new trailers and world premiers for new titles. This year, we have some very interesting games and stacked releases for 2024 and 2025.

Here is a complete list of games announced at the Xbox Games Showcase 2024.

Call of Duty Black Ops 6

Following several small teases, we have our first full trailer for the Call of Duty Black Ops 6. The trailer shows us the trailer and some gameplay elements.

Developed collaboratively by Treyarch and Raven Software, this game will feature a new campaign, a multiplayer mode boasting 16 new maps at launch, and an exciting new zombie experience.

Set in the early 1990s, Black Ops 6’s main campaign picks up after the events of Black Ops Cold War and includes flashbacks to Black Ops 2. We just hope that they get the campaign right and is more than just 3 hours.

Doom: The Dark Ages

We have our first look and a trailer for the next game in the series; Doom: The Dark Ages. It looks like we are going medieval instead of futuristic.

No release date is specified, but the game will arrive sometime in 2025.

State of Decay 3

State of Decay 3 made a long-awaited return during the Xbox Games Showcase, several years after it was last seen. The new trailer, predominantly cinematic, teased an escalating zombie threat, intense battles against the horde, and the challenge of building a new life for your expanding community of survivalist homesteaders.

No release date has been given yet.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

We have got a good look at the Bioware’s latest RPG. The new trailer for Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers an in-depth look at the companions available for recruitment as you embark on a thrilling fantasy adventure.

The new companions include Harding the scout, Neve the detective, Emmrich the necromancer, Taash the dragon hunter, Davrin the warden, Bellar the veil-jumper, and Lucanis the mage-killer.

Starfield: The Shattered Space

One year after the release of Starfield, Bethesda has announced an expansion for the game. This latest content revolves around a mysterious power emerging in the city of Dazra, located on House Va’Ruun’s hidden homeworld.

Players will delve into investigating this cosmic threat, discovering unique weapons, and acquiring advanced gear to enhance their characters as they explore the vast cosmos.

Fallout 76: Skyline Valley

Fallout 76 is expanding its horizons in the Appalachias with a new terrain set to be available soon. Starting June 12, players can explore the southern region of Skyline Valley, investigate a mysterious electric storm, and uncover the secrets of Vault 63 in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic universe.

You will also be able to play as Ghoul.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

This was one of the new titles announced during the showcase. The debut title from Sandfall Interactive, this RPG puts players at the helm of an expedition on a desperate mission to defeat the Paintress, a formidable foe determined to eradicate the remaining human survivors in the world.

Though it was mostly a cinematic trailer, we also got a brief glimpse of the combat system. The game seems to have a party-based, turn-based combat, which isn’t surprising given the game’s story.

While there is no confirmed date, the release is set for 2025.

South of Midnight

South of Midnight unveiled its first gameplay trailer, highlighting its folktale setting and third-person action gameplay. Additional story details reveal that the game is set in the town of Prospero, which has been ravaged by a hurricane.

Players will take on the role of Hazel, navigating a Southern Gothic world where reality and fantasy intertwine. South of Midnight is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2025.

World of Warcraft: The War Within

We have the release date for the expansion of World of Warcraft. The expansion is set to release on August 25 this year.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Konami has remained tight-lipped about its Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but the Xbox Games Showcase finally provided a glimpse into the game.

The trailer revealed stunning new graphics and 3D audio for this Big Boss prequel. While the story will remain unchanged, the gameplay has been revamped to emphasize survival and stealth in a harsh wilderness.

We still don’t have the release date for the game.

Sea of Thieves Season 13

Season 13 launches on July 25, introducing a thrilling new world event where players can sail aboard one of the most infamous ships in the game’s lore, Flameheart’s Burning Blade.

Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn

Already shown at Xbox Games Showcase earlier, we now have a confirmed release date and more gameplay. Flintlock is an action-adventure, soulslite game.

Similar to Bloodborne, it has a gun and melee weapon system along with a twist of magic powers. It is from the makers of Ashen and the game will be released on July 18 this year. It is PC and Xbox exclusive and will be available on day one on Game Pass.

Age of Mythology Retold

The new trailer for Age of Mythology: Retold showcased more of its enchanting mythical setting. Set in a world where gods, monsters, and humans collide, this new instalment aims to blend the beloved old-school charm of the franchise with modern real-time strategy design and updated visuals.

Age of Mythology Retold will be released on September 4 on Xbox Series S|X and PC (Game Pass as well).

Perfect Dark

We finally have an extensive look at Perfect Dark which was announced quite a while back. Made by The Initiative and Crystal Dynamics, the gameplay trailer shows Agent Dark navigating city streets and stealthily eliminating enemies.

However, we still do not have a release date but the trailer did confirm that the game will be available on Game Pass from day one.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred

With an intense and brutal trailer, Blizzard has announced its expansion for Diablo IV – Vessel of Hatred. This first expansion for Diablo IV will take players to the lush jungles of Nahantu.

The expansion is launching on October 8.

Fable

Announced last year at the Games Showcase, Playground Games has provided sneak peeks at the upcoming Fable game. The trailer featured Humphry, a retired hero, who shares insights on surviving in this new magical world.

However, we still haven’t gotten an extensive look at the gameplay, Fable is set for a 2025 release for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Fragpunk

NetEase Games has announced FragPunk, a vibrant 5v5 hero shooter set in a futuristic universe, developed by Bad Guitar. What distinguishes this game from others in the genre is its innovative gameplay modifier card system, which allows players to alter the rules of combat to their advantage.

FragPunk is slated to launch in 2025 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, with beta testing for both platforms to be held in the future.

Winter Burrow

In Winter Burrow, you play as a mouse. This cozy game tells the story of a little mouse in a hat who arrives at their broken-down childhood home during a harsh winter.

Your task is to transform this dilapidated tree stump into a warm refuge from the cold while also searching for your aunt, who has been abducted by an owl.

Winter Burrow will be released in early 2025 for Xbox and PC (day one of Game Pass).

Mixtape

In Mixtape, three friends set out on one final adventure together on their last night of high school. The story unfolds through a blend of dream-like reenactments of their memories focusing on crucial moments in their lives.

The game has a compelling soundtrack, featuring music from DEVO, The Smashing Pumpkins, Iggy Pop, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and more.

Developed by Beethoven & Dinosaur, the studio behind The Artful Escape, Mixtape is slated for release in 2025.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024

Ready to fly all over the world? We have a new trailer for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Team Asobi claims that this is even more ambitious than its predecessor. The aircrafts and world are much more detailed.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 release date is set for November 19. It will be on Game Pass on day one.

Elder Scrolls Online Gold Road

Life is Strange Double Exposure

In the next installment of the Life is Strange series, original protagonist Max Caulfield makes her return. Set several years after her initial adventure in Arcadia Bay, Max is on a mission to uncover the truth behind her best friend’s murder.

Armed with new powers allowing her to shift through timelines, she needs to solve the mystery and save her best friend. The first two chapters of Life is Strange: Double Exposure will be released on October 15th.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

We have an extensive look at Indiana Jones and the Great Circle but we still don’t the exact release date. The game is scheduled to be released this year.

The long trailer showcases the story and some gameplay beats featuring satisfying punches, guns, and a world-hopping adventure.

Mecha Break

We also saw this during the Summer Game Fest and we now have some more gameplay details with this trailer. Mecha Break is a multiplayer mecha shooter and it looks awesome.

Mecha Break offers customizable mechs, player-created mech pilots, and an extensive arsenal, alongside various gameplay modes to test your builds. Before its launch a closed beta is scheduled for August, allowing players to experience the game firsthand and provide feedback.

Wuchang Fallen Feathers

Announced for the first time, we have the first look at the soulslike, action RPG game – Wuchang Fallen Feathers. It is a Chinese game set in the late Ming dynasty and it is very reminiscent of Wo Long.

In the role of Wuchang, a pirate warrior grappling with amnesia and burdened by Ornithropy, a disease that both afflicts and empowers, players will navigate the treacherous landscape of Shu.

There is no release date for the game but it is confirmed that it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC along with day one on Game Pass.

Avowed

Obsidian’s upcoming Avowed has been awaited by RPG fans but we still do not have a concrete release date. The trailer showcases colourful fantasy landscapes bathed in vibrant purples and blues.

We also get a brief look at the fire and ice magic combat, intricate traps, and different enemy types. Avowed is slated to launch for Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2024.

Atomfall

What looks like a mix of Atomic Heart and Fallout (even the name suggests so), is set in a British sci-fi setting. Made by Rebellion, it is a survival action game set five years after a real-world nuclear disaster in northern England in 1957.

Atomfall unfolds within a fictional quarantine zone. Drawing inspiration from Cold War paranoia, and folk horror, the game seems to have a gripping narrative. Atomfall is scheduled to be released in 2025.

STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl

The latest trailer for Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl delivered an exciting blend of in-game footage and narrative teasers, showcasing the haunting landscapes and dangers awaiting players in the Exclusion Zone.

From treacherous mutants to mysterious arch anomalies, the trailer offered glimpses of the thrilling encounters and exploration that lie ahead. While a release date is yet to be announced, the trailer certainly did not disappoint in building anticipation for the game.

STALKER 2 release date is set for September 5 and will be released on Xbox Series S|X, PC, and Game Pass on day one.

Assassins Creed Shadows

We now have a more detailed look at the Assassin’s Creed Shadows with this trailer. The footage shows glimpses of combat for both protagonists.

Gears of War: E-Day

Gears 5 was released in 2019 and fans have been anticipating the next game in the series. We finally see what the team at The Coalition has been working on.

The first trailer for Gears of War: E-Day reveals the highly anticipated continuation of Microsoft’s brutal cover shooter series, set as a prequel focusing on a young Marcus Fenix. Set 14 years before the first game, Gears of War: E-Day will focus on the emergence of the Locust Horde.

While there’s no release date yet for Gears of War: E-Day, it is confined that the game will launch on day one for Game Pass.
